President & Chief Executive Officer- Economic Development Corporation
An outstanding opportunity exists within the Economic Development Corporation (EDC), for the top leadership position within the organization, the President and CEO. The successful candidate will develop and execute a targeted attraction, retention, and expansion initiative that defines and builds on the strengths of Kansas City, Missouri.
Working in collaboration with the Board of Directors and the 12-member Executive Committee, the President & Chief Executive Officer will provide overall leadership and direction for the Economic Development Corporation. The CEO oversees 30+ staff in Administration, Business Retention & Recruitment, Development Services, and the agencies support groups – Port Authority, Tax Increment Finance (TIF), Downtown Economic Stimulus Activity (DESA), Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority/Enhanced Enterprise Zone Boards (LCRA/EEZ), and the EDC Loan Corporation.
