Kansas City Area Life Sciences Institute

The Kansas City Life Sciences Institute (KCALSI) is a nonprofit that serves as the coordinating body for the Kansas City region’s life sciences research initiatives. KCALSI is charged with building a critical mass in life sciences research in the region, and it serves as the coordinating body for the region’s life sciences research initiatives, specifically as facilitator, matchmaker and a potential funding organization.  To learn more, visit the Kansas City Area Life Sciences Institute website.

KCALSI’s 10 stakeholder institutions represent the lion’s share of academic research in the region. These universities, institutes, and hospitals – six of which are located in Kansas City, Missouri – represent the primary source in the region for new discoveries and innovations leading to the development of new drugs, devices, and therapies.
