The relationship between Ireland and Kansas City just became stronger.
On January 6th, the Consul General of Ireland, Adrian Farrell, visited Kansas City, MO. During his visit, Adrian met with Mayor Sly James, Mayor Pro Tem Scott Wager and EDC International Business Initiatives Coordinator, Narbeli Galindo, who have been working to build a connection with Ireland by engaging the Irish community, advancing Irish economic initiatives and promoting partnerships at all levels.
Adrian was appointed as Ireland’s Consul General in Austin, TX in September 2014. The consulate wasopened in March 2015 to better serve the Kansas City region, as well as Texas, Colorado, Arkansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.
The EDC plans to continue actively seeking opportunities to collaborate and partner with Ireland throughout 2016.
