Strategic Investment Summit, Frankfurt, Germany

Economic Development in Kansas City, Missouri was recently showcased at the Global Success Club’s Strategic Investment Summit in Frankfurt Germany. A panel, entitled “All About Money,” was a discussion about the advantages and challenges of investing in sectors such as manufacturing or Research and Development, in the United States, particularly focusing on economic incentives and similar resources.

The EDC’s International Business Initiatives Coordinator, Narbeli Galindo, was a key panel speaker discussing available incentives, as well as Visa requirements, for foreign investors who may be interested in investing in companies in the United States. View full panel discussion below:

French Deputy visits Kansas City, Missouri

French Deputy Consul General: Mr Jean-Christophe Paris visited Kansas City, Missouri on November 10th and 11th, to attend the inaugural French Christmas Market Event (Collaboration between Trapp and Co. and Alliance Francaise de Kansas City.) A private reception, hosted by Ms. Cyprienne Simchowitz, Honorary Consul of France, was held at her house with members of the French community and French business leaders. Mayor Pro Tem- Scott Wagner, EDC President & CEO, Bob Langenkamp, and Narbeli Galindo, the EDC’s International Business Initiatives Coordinator was also present.

The Deputy Consul General also visited the Academie Lafayette, Nelson Atkins Museum, and the WW1 museum on November 11th for the special Veterans’ Day ceremony while he was here.

Ambassador of Panama Visits Kansas City, Missouri

The Ambassador of Panama: Mr. Emanuel Arturo Gonzalez-Revilla Lince, visited Kansas City, Missouri on October 28, 2015 with a goal of establishing a relationship between Kansas City, Missouri and Panama, in terms of business trading and educational exchange programs. City Hall representatives, including Mayor Pro Tem Scott Wagner, Councilman Lee Barnes Jr. of the 5th District, and Narbeli Galindo, the EDC’s International Business Development Initiatives Coordinator, met with the Ambassador to discuss a variety of opportunities.
