FEC Coding Academy at UMKC Could Open New Doors for Residents

In Workforce Development by Matt Staub

The Full Employment Council would like to connect Missouri residents who have lost their jobs to consider a new training opportunity that leads to important jobs in today’s economy. “Our ultimate goal is rapid reentry into the workplace,” said Shelley Penn, Senior Vice President and COO for the FEC.

Through the coding Academy, instructors will equip students with the kinds of marketable skills needed to jump into the exciting world of coding. Students will work on both individual and team projects to build a portfolio to showcase to prospective employers and/or potential clients. Resume coaches from the FEC will help students prepare for job applications and interviews. To learn more, click here
