LaunchKC is a civic collaboration to aid entrepreneurs with early stage capital that is jointly managed by EDCKC and the Downtown Council. LaunchKC’s creators developed this grant competition to attract tech entrepreneurs from around the world and to aid local Kansas City entrepreneurs with growing their business. More than 1,500 entrepreneurs from 17 states and eight countries have applied for this global grants program. Since 2015, LaunchKC has invested over $2.5 million to attract and retain startups.

Launched in 2015, Kansas City, Missouri, became the sixth city selected by Techweek to host the weeklong conference, expo and startup competition.
