In the earliest stages of the pandemic, LaunchKC, co-founded by EDCKC, sprung to action by creating a COVID-19 Response Accelerator that provides capital and other resources to technology startup companies that deliver solutions to solve various issues related to the pandemic.
EDCKC & LaunchKC partnered with Black & Veatch to assist 18 companies with both their growth and COVID-19 technology solutions. This partnership has provided more than $250,000 in grants and in-kind services, as well as access to Black & Veatch’s worldwide network of more than 10,000 employees in over 100 offices around the globe. The accelerator has enabled both a faster runway to commercialization and also valuable connections between mentors, customers, and investors.
