For our LaunchKC Health Accelerator cohort, a trip to the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, provided an opportunity to see their business and innovation accelerator in action. Specifically, they visited with Mayo Clinic Ventures, who work to leverage innovation from inside and outside the clinic to make it commercially viable and broadly applicable.
Joined by our Entrepreneur in Residence Don Peterson and LaunchKC staff, members of the KC cohort had the opportunity to meet one-on-one with members of the Mayo’s innovation accelerators, making valuable connections that they’ll bring back to help scale their startups.
Together, these companies have the potential to leave an even larger impact on our healthcare system through their work. Some of them will be doing that work and growing their companies right here in KCMO.
