Meta, the company formally known as Facebook, announced that they’re bringing a new data center to Kansas City, MO. EDCKC was an instrumental partner in bringing this $800 million investment, which will create up to 100 operational jobs and more than 1,300 during peak construction.

Steven Anthony and Dan Moye (pictured), leaders from our business and land development teams, were on hand for the announcement.

“Meta’s selection of Kansas City, MO further reinforces the city’s strategic advantage in Americas heartland and EDCKC is proud to have worked with the Governor, the City and KCADC to create an environment where both our people and Meta can thrive,” Anthony said.

In an effort to achieve net-zero carbon emissions, the KCMO facility will be on of the company’s most sustainable in the world and will add renewal energy to the local grid.
