This year, EDC will celebrate our visionary award winners, as well as mark the occasion with the award-winning comedy sketch comedy group, “Right Between the Ears.“ The comedy group, featured on SiriusXM Comedy Showcase, will present skits that celebrate Kansas City business and underscore this year’s theme, “Kansas City Takes a Bow.” The performance will feature “outsiders” who visit Kansas City and discover just how “hip and cool” Kansas City really is — from the burgeoning tech industry, to bioscience, entertainment, food and the arts — to set a fun, positive and celebratory tone of Kansas City pride.
Awards Criteria
Nominated projects must be completed with occupancy by December 31, 2012, and must be located in Kansas City, MO. Nominated projects must display at least two of the following characteristics:
The EDC Marketing/Cornerstone Awards Committee will select the final award winners for the individual categories – Business Expansion, Non-Profit Community Service, Redevelopment, Residential, Retail/Entertainment, Small Business, Special Recognition and the James C. Denneny Spirit Award.
