Our friends at Startland News did a great job covering the recent unveiling of the “Small Business Insights and Policy Recommendation Report for Kansas City, Missouri,” completed by Cities Work, an initiative by the Washington, D.C.-based Institute for Justice and funded by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.
The study was commissioned by the Small Business Task Force — appointed by Mayor Quinton Lucas in October and administered by the KC BizCare office. After seeing the list of report recommendations, the Small Business Task Force has already drafted three ordinances to help expedite processes, implement programs (such as the KC SMB Capital Program) and reduce fees for entrepreneurs and small businesses.
Let’s keep it up!
