As part of the Heart of the City Neighborhood Stabilization TIF Plan Commercial Facade and Improvements Program, Anlab Environmental (3634 Troost) was the recipient of $15,000 to perform a complete facade upgrade. The building upgrade included new exterior paint, new decorative wood awnings, new brick walls, added exterior artwork, and additional improvements.
This program is used to remediate blighting conditions within the Redevelopment Area by utilizing Tax Increment Financing to fund the expansion or new construction of and/or exterior improvements to non-residential buildings.
“This program has several benefits, It eliminated an eyesore, will serve as a motivator for other property owners on Troost to hopefully make improvements, and it increases the lifespan of my building,” said Anlab President, Bobby Henderson.
