“We have long-lasting relationships with our clients and I have the pleasure of continuing this level of service both with professional and civic organizations as well as many clients across the metro area.”

As always, we have to ask, “What’s the one thing you love about Kansas City?” Macy says it’s the people. “Throughout my career in Kansas City, I have met the most wonderful people who not only work tirelessly for their companies, but for our community as well. In all aspects of my life, I’ve had the benefit of meeting and working with some fantastic individuals who have become not only professional, but personal friends as well,” says Macy.

Something most people don’t know is that life was not always a pretty picture for Macy. When she was 11 years old, her family encountered some tremendous financial circumstances. “Looking back on the situation we faced, I am humbled to reflect on the positive outcomes from our situation,” says Macy. “My mother fought a courageous battle to get our family back on track as a single parent. By going to night school to achieve her undergraduate degree and eventually attending law school, she was–and is–a tremendous role model to my two siblings and me. She instilled in us that however bleak situations may look, there is always a way to tackle issues and make things better.”  Macy says she has carried that attitude into much of her professional and personal endeavors.

Economic Development in Kansas City Missouri matters to Macy because she believes it enriches the quality of life for herself and her family. She believes that increasing jobs and opportunities in Kansas City make all the pieces of “live, work and play” more enjoyable.

Macy serves on the EDC Board as Past President for the Kansas City Industrial Association.
