In KC News, New Development by EDCKC Staff

1st District Councilman Scott Wagner along with MoDOT and the Cities of Kansas City and Liberty, Missouri, have been working together to ensure area transportation options can meet the growth in the northland and officially cut the ribbon on the Flintlock Flyover project on Thursday, August 22nd.

Missouri Highway & Transportation Commissioner, Kelley Martin (former KC TIF Commissioner)

The Flyover, an $11 million project, will address issues including congestion on Route 152 and will allow the Liberty School District to transport students more efficiently and safely. Nearly half of the Liberty School District’s 12,000 students live on the west side of the bridge while most of the schools are located on the east side.

A portion of the City of Kansas City’s contribution was funded through the Shoal Creek TIF Plan which is generally located at MO-152 and I-35, in Kansas City, Missouri. The Economic Development Corporation staffs the Kansas City, Missouri TIF Commission.
