New Cohorts Announced for LaunchKC’s Health & Engineering-Focused Accelerators

At EDCKC, we believe a strong entrepreneurial business community is one of the critical components of a healthy economy. Because of that, our team was instrumental in founding LaunchKC and continues to support its growth over time with the goal being to both support local startups as well as attract new startups to KCMO. 
Two newly formed LaunchKC accelerators focused on healthcare and engineering have recently announced new cohorts for each of their programs. 
The Black & Veatch IgniteX Cleantech Accelerator, which focuses on tech solutions for the engineering industry received more than 120 applications from across the country for this 75-day program that awards equity, mentoring, networking opportunities, and access to Black & Veatch staff. 
The selected startups are:

  • Aware Vehicles Inc., Kansas City
  • Built Robotics, San Francisco
  • ecoSPEARS, Altamonte Springs, Fla.
  • Electriphi, San Francisco
  • Extensible Energy, Berkeley, Calif.
  • InfraLytiks, Urbandale, Iowa
  • NovoNutrients, Sunnyvale, Calif.

The Launch Health Accelerator powered by Nueterra Capital is a similar 75-day program in which each startup will receive a minimum $50,000 equity investment from Nueterra Capital, $10,000 in software development services from FullScale, and $5,000 in health care and business legal advice from Husch Blackwell. The cohort also will receive services such as accounting, marketing and mentoring from LaunchKC’s legacy partners.

  • MedZero, Kansas City
  • Sickweather, Kansas City
  • Spoke Health, Denver
  • TheraWe Connect, Kansas City
  • WellBrain, San Francisco
