With $9.3 billion in annual sales, Hy-Vee ranks among the top 25 supermarket chains and the top 50 private companies in the United States.  The company employs more than 82,000 employees throughout the Midwest region with 240 locations in Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

The EDC assisted with sites selection services and incentive evaluation. The company received a personal property tax exemption through Chapter 100 bonds and real property tax abatement through Port KC.
