EDCKC’s LoanUp program presented Taste of Brazil Taste of Brazil owners Marco Rabello and Cristian Maciel $150,000 to help them offer their popular Brazilian cheese bread locally and across the US.
Demand for the cheese bread skyrocketed during the pandemic. The bread is so popular now that they need more space and staff. They are in 65 area stores, a few restaurants and on Amazon. They’ve also signed with Cisco Foods, and plan to approach supermarkets, hotels, hospitals and schools, along with taking online orders.
Rabello and Cristian received $150,000 from EDCKC’s LoanUp program to help with distribution, purchasing new machinery, leasing a production location and hiring staff.
