The Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City, Missouri (EDCKC), is excited to announce that Tractics, Inc., a construction technology company, is expanding its presence in the Kansas City River Market.
Tractics was founded in 2021 when a Kansas City-based web development group and a veteran heavy contractor came together with a mission: to empower contractors with the management solutions and project insights they need to improve efficiency and profitability.
“We had our mission, a handful of employees, and a partner-contractor. Working side by side, day after day, with foremen, crew, and management, we absorbed as many processes, tasks, and details as we could on everything heavy construction,” said Tyler VanWinkle, CEO of Tractics.
The Tractics solution is a cloud-native construction management software platform for heavy civil contractors. Designed for modern construction workflows, it is secure, easily scalable, and accessible from anywhere. The platform connects crews, equipment, and office teams to streamline daily construction tasks and operations in real time.
Launched in 2023, Tractics has been steadily growing its customer base. With assistance from EDCKC, the company has relocated to a larger office space in the River Market and expanded its team to over 40 employees, reinforcing its commitment to the local economy and Kansas City’s tech sector.

At last month’s 2025 World of Concrete, Tractics announced its partnership with Sage Intacct, a leading provider of cloud financial management solutions. This integration greatly enhances Tractics’ suite of management tools by adding financial management capabilities, opening new opportunities for growth.
“The continued growth of Kansas City’s technology sector is a testament to the talent, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit that define our city,” said Steven Anthony, VP of Business Development, EDCKC’s spokesperson. “We’re proud to support companies like Tractics as they scale their operations, create high-quality jobs, and contribute to Kansas City’s economic vitality.”
The Missouri Works program has played a key role in supporting this growth, offering incentives to help Tractics retain and create jobs in the Kansas City area. The company’s success is not only a win for the tech sector but also a boost for the broader regional economy.
“As we look to the future, we’re focused not only on creating great technology but also on providing new, high-quality job opportunities for the people of Kansas City. Our team is the backbone of our success, and we’re excited to continue growing, innovating, and bringing new talent on board. KC is home, and we’re proud to contribute to its ongoing transformation into a tech-driven hub,” said VanWinkle.
