If you are a resident of Kansas City, Missouri, you might be interested in how the EDCKC can help you. Overall, our goal is to create a more prosperous city, through programs that make it easy for businesses to move, grow and stay in our city. Our programs work to create jobs, develop real estate where businesses can locate, and work with businesses to connect them to all the resources the city has to offer.
Because Kansas City is a big place with a lot of different organizations to help citizens, sometimes it can be confusing on who does what, and where to find help. Here is a list of resources that could be useful to you:
EDCKC 18th & Vine office –The EDCKC is committed to helping current and future business owners in the district to scale and grow with State and City resources, by helping educate business owners on incentives (state and local), loan and grant opportunities, and site selection. Located at 1518th E 18th Street.
If you’re looking for resources within the KC Metro:

Full Employment Council - The FEC obtains public and private sector employment for the unemployed and the underemployed residents of the Greater Kansas City area.
Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce – KC Chamber focuses on growing the region's economy, advocating businesses' interests in the public policy arena, increasing our members' visibility and connectivity, and providing innovative programs and resources that help members grow their businesses.
MCC - Metropolitan Community College is a gateway to a life-changing education and a workforce-ready skill set and is the oldest educational institution in Kansas City for the best value.

LoanUP - EDC Loan Corporation (EDCLC) is a nonprofit corporation specializing in the origination and underwriting of Revolving Loan Funds. Its mission is to help small business grow and expand through our loan programs in an effort to attract, expand and retain jobs.
LaunchKC - LaunchKC’s accelerator platform partners Kansas City corporations with tech startups and select startups that align with each corporation’s goals, providing them access to exciting innovative products and services. Startups chosen for the program will receive unprecedented resources from our corporate partners.
BizCare – KC BizCare helps streamline the business registration process for starting and growing your business in Kansas City, and is a free business resource, advocacy and information center for new and existing businesses operating within the City by providing information and assistance to help business owners understand and comply with City, State and Federal requirements for operating a business.
SourceLinkKC - SourceLinkKC connects entrepreneurs to resources, coaches, funding, education and helps coordinate great events for entrepreneurs, as well as help monitor Kansas City's entrepreneurial ecosystem by measuring outcomes, working with our Resource Partners to fill gaps in resources and bringing national resources to the community through grants.
