Across Midtown, Exact Partners has been on a redevelopment roll.
Most recently, the group celebrated the grand opening of The Acme (located at 3200 Gillham Road). The newly created 27 apartments and Kansas City Artist Coalition non-profit space, was once owned by the Land Bank of KC and the site of Acme Cleaners. Exact Acme, LLC, an affiliate of Exact Partners, invested $4.8 Million to complete substantial environmental remediation and building rehabilitation. EDCKC guided Exact Acme through the financial analysis and AdvanceKC policy review processes, as well as worked with the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority (LCRA) to create a “footprint” Urban Renewal Area and approve property tax abatement.
In addition to The Acme, Exact Partners is also underway on:
- The Monarch – a historic five-story commercial building undergoing a $7.6 Million rehab that will result in 26 two-bedroom apartments and a commercial office or gallery space.
- The Netherland (formerly known as the Hawthorn) – an eleven-story historic former hotel/apartment; located near northeast corner of 39th & Main in Midtown that will create 118 apartments (33 studio and 85 one-bedroom) and some street-level commercial space.
Also recently completed is Wonder Shops & Flats (on the northeast corner of 30th & Troost), a $14.9 Million rehabilitation project that created 86 apartments and 12,600 square feet of retail/office space. EDCKC staff guided the developers through the financial analysis and AdvanceKC policy review processes, as well as worked with the PIEA to approve property tax abatement.
EDCKC is proud to support projects like these that are creating more housing, job and retail options for parts of the city that haven’t seen substantial investment in years.
