EDCKC has added another East Side business to its loan portfolio through the EDC Loan Corp small business loan program. Daniel and Ebony Edwards have purchased the historic Albert Tamm Lumber Company, located at 3232 East 18th Street, Kansas City, Missouri.
The Albert Tamm Lumber Company has been in business since 1950 and offers over 18 product lines of lumber and hardware. A few of their noted construction and renovation projects are the Lakeside Nature Center in Swope Park (KCMO) and The City of Kansas City, MO building interior.
The Edwards’ plan to expand the company’s primary activities to supply demand in the areas of building material, manufacturing and brokering of building materials by leveraging their MBE/WBE status. This acquisition awards Mr. and Mrs. Edwards as the only minority building material supplier in Kansas City, MO. We look forward to seeing their business grow!
